Research and Evaluation

Conducting research and evaluation is an important component of CWEALF's work to achieve equal opportunities for women and girls in Connecticut. With nearly twenty years of research and evaluation experience, CWEALF understands and appreciates the complex systemic and individual barriers facing women in their personal and professional lives. CWEALF draws from the wealth of knowledge generated through these studies to chair statewide coalitions and develop model projects that translate the results of our research into substantive changes in public policy and the delivery of social services.

Our projects can be broadly divided into two categories. CWEALF provides outside agency evaluation services for state agencies and government-funded programs. CWEALF has also pioneered several research initiatives documenting the need for greater gender equity in educational, athletic, legal, and social service programs throughout Connecticut.
