Diana: Goddess of the hunt.

Diana is the goddess of the moon, forests, animals, and women in childbirth. A nurturer of children and feminine values, she also is a protector of the weak and vulnerable. She is praised for her strength, athletic grace, beauty, and her hunting skills.

Designed by Lisa Luginbuhl, Diana first appeared as CWEALF’s logo on our 1995-1996 annual report. Ms. Lugenbuhl’s design was chosen from the entries of after a logo design contest.

Yes, I would like information on volunteering for CWEALF’s attorney referral program.
I would like more information on remembering CWEALF in my will or through a planned giving program.

How do I get started?

You can download the complete volunteer information form and return it via fax at: 860.524.0804 or mail to: CWEALF, 135 Broad Street, Hartford, CT 06105.

Who are our Volunteers?

Our volunteers are:

• People who want to actively participate in supporting women, girls & their families
• People who are non-judgmental and accepting
• People who respect a diverse work environment

How much time would I be expected to volunteer?

That depends on you, your availability and type of volunteer assistance you perform. We recognize that there may be some weeks or months you are able to help more than others. Whatever your schedule, your help at CWEALF is valued.

How will I know what to do as a volunteer?

Through the program coordinator, you will be introduced to CWEALF and its staff and services before you begin your volunteer work. If specialized training is needed before you begin, our staff will ensure that you receive the necessary support.

What type of work do volunteers do?

There are many ways you can help CWEALF make a difference!

One of our core programs, Information & Referral (I&R), utilizes volunteers interested in more "hands-on" work with the community. Volunteers help answer the I&R line providing callers with legal information and support, and respond to questions we receive through our web site. Volunteers receive in-depth training and are asked to commit to at least six months of service.
Depending on your interests and skills and the projects available at CWEALF, there are opportunities to help with office and administrative duties, fundraising, community outreach and much more.
